A further 34 chemicals have been added to Annex I of the EU Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Regulation through the publication of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1278.
The new entries will apply from 1 October 2026. ECHA has updated its ePIC system to reflect the changes, allowing companies to begin submitting export notifications for the newly added entries ahead of the application date.
Businesses should review the updated Annex, available here, to determine whether substances within their portfolios are affected and ensure that any applicable PIC requirements are addressed.
